Lies, I’ve grown up to tell
For good reputation, a price I pay
Cos the society was built this way
And we live by it everyday

Nice to meet u, I say with a handshake
A fist in my left pocket wishing I could strike u
Society demands I say goodbye
When all I mean is good riddance

I’ve learnt to put on many smiles
I do them perfect like a fixed portrait
It’s been nice talking to u I say
With my teeth out like a snake bare fang

I wish we could unlearn these things
Most of all learn to say how we feel
And not be scolded by the society
‘Cos we live by how we feel
